You want to stop the battle in your head, be proud of who you are, and find inner peace. But obstacles keep standing in your way…
Suppressing anger and frustration
Struggling to express emotions
Bearing the weight of obligations
Worry and anxiety

Like so many people, I felt ashamed that I couldn't just flip a switch and get these things under control.
My life felt chaotic and messy. I felt like I was being controlled by swings of emotion that left me lost in a dark place.

That's why my approach to alcohol coaching isn't just about kicking a habit or living with a disease.
You will learn to connect to your true Self, with its innate calmness, courage, and curiosity as your guide and putting you back in your rightful place of power.
You will access your own capability and confidence. This will allow you to explore your inner terrain and form relationships with the conflicting parts of yourself.
Instead, you will be coached on how to become more Self-led in order to connect with the part of you that benefits from drinking.
As that inner relationship forms, you will begin to understand the role alcohol plays in your life and discover that you can let go of that role.
Once that need is healed and the role released, the behavior changes.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) recognizes and normalizes the idea that we are made up of many different and often conflicting parts. These parts can take on different roles.
The Self is like the wise and calm center of who you are. When you're connected to your Self, you can understand and heal the different parts of you that might be in conflict or hurting.
The Self helps you stay balanced and guides you to make healthier choices, leading to a more peaceful and authentic life.

Getting to know the different parts of yourself
Understanding their roles
Healing any emotional pain they might hold.
By doing this, you can become more self-aware and compassionate towards your parts and live more authentically, which leads to lasting personal growth and emotional well-being.

I had the opportunity to share my story and talk about the power of the IFS model.

They are preemptive in managing our day-to-day lives.
They attempt to control our internal and external world.
Can appear as critical, berating, hypervigilant, unyielding, perfectionistic, caretaking, planning, procrastinating, striving, or people-pleasing.
They are reactive, dramatic, and impulsive.
They are concerned only with the present moment.
They respond to immediate threats with little regard for the rest of the system.
Can appear as rage, addiction, self-harm, overworking, bingeing, overexercising, dissociation, or obsessions.
They are banished within our system because of their deep pain.
They are often younger parts that are stuck in the past.
They carry burdens from past trauma, such as worthlessness, shame, feeling unlovable, dependency, and abandonment.
The undamaged, whole, good, and pure essence of every human.
Self is:
Calm
Clear
Curious
Compassionate
Courageous
Confident
Creative
Connected
The Self is like the sun. It may be obscured, but it is always there.
